About Me

Greetings! My name is Edin Dedic. I am an IT enthusiast with a never-give-up attitude and always strive to solve problems creatively. As a Senior IT Project Manager with many years of experience, I'd like to share some basic information about myself. Quick facts about me and my professional skills:

About me. I am a Bosnian citizen with German residence permit, born 1985 in the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city of Banja Luka. After finishing my studies in Bihac, I worked there for a few years as IT Specialist. Afterwards, I moved in 2015 to Munich where I currently reside.

Education. I obtained a profound international and multilingual education with focus on information technology and business. I hold an Engineer's degree (240 ECTS) in Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Bihac. I speak 3 languages: English, German and Bosnian. I am also a certified Project Manager (PRINCE2 - PRojects IN Controlled Environments) by the Axelos-PeopleCert Institute and a certified Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Product Owner (PSPO) by the Scrum.org. I am also a certified IT Service Manager with an ITIL (IT Infrastructure Libray) certification.

Career. I have many years of professional Project Management experience in different industries (e.g. public sector, transporation, mobility aftersales, automotive industry and enterprise software development), working on various multinational projects and large-scale programs. Project implementation would involve development from the outset or taking over and optimizing existing services. The delivery of high-quality projects and their services that provide maximum value to the company and its customers has always been my primary responsibility. My previous experience also included consulting the largest automotive companies in Germany, where I delivered and managed enterprise software projects and provided application operational services. During the period 2011-2015, I worked as an IT specialist in the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where my main focus was a successful implementation of services based on Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

Privately, I like to travel and explore countries. I love cooking and trying new recipes. Listening to music is my daily routine. Playing ball games like soccer or basketball are also hobbies of mine. Aside from that, I enjoy hanging out with family and close friends.

Product Owner

Planning and tracking development activities in close coordination with developers, software architects and stakeholders in order to be able to present consistent planning and implementation.

Agile PM (Scrum)

Support in the agile transformation of business units and individual teams with a focus on software development. Introduction of agile frameworks and methods in terms of an agile organization.

Service Delivery Lead

Coordination of the reliable product delivery. Tracking of deliverables and obligations including SLA and penalty management. Provision of all contract services. Team motivator and optimizer.

App Management

Years of experience in the operation of IT applications and app interfaces with the aim of identifying functional and technical causes of errors. Service Desk with ITIL. Solution-oriented approach.

IT Consulting (DevOps)

Establishment of DevOps processes, practices and tools. Supporting the agile development teams in the continuous integration and delivery of software & services. Technical IT consulting of PM.

Portfolio

My current role involves managing multiple IT projects in the public transportation sector where I have successfully completed various enterprise software and hardware projects.

In the past, I was also responsible for deployments and data migration in large-scale and complex international aftersales program, where one of the automotive aftersales systems was replaced with a new solution (releases). The venture had a complex application structure and IT landscape, consisting of multiple applications and various interface partners.

The new releases were rolled out to all market entities (EMEA, US, APAC). It improved performance by automating routine tasks and offered additional services, including a better service quality to internal and external customers. The system consisted of new applications for the automotive aftersales portal, which were by design more modern and intuitive for users, but also data processing was much faster and more secure. The middleware infrastructure has also been migrated to the latest version on the market.

Below are just a few of my projects listed, where I worked on, and where I managed international teams that were responsible for development, deployment, documentation and service implementation. Due to data privacy policy, project names differ from real names.

Crowd Management

A software solution for monitoring passenger traffic routes within the train stations with the aim of controlling and optimizing passenger flows.

Application migration

Migration of multiple applications from old infrastructures to the most current one. Management, deployment, testing and documentation.

Key Reader

Device and software for reading the vehicle data stored in the vehicle key. After a successful reading process, the data is transferred to the target system.

CTC Backend

Customer Tracing Component is a backend interface B2D application which provides central customer oriented components and modules on the car dealer side.

BizCarClients

Data Management System developed for two infrastructures which are used at the same time. This software manages orders and data for business vehicles.

Aftersales Platform

An Aftersales Online System with multiple applications, where you gain access to original car service information, parts information, workshop tools, B2B services etc.
